William "Billie" Sherman Earls

William "Billy" Sherman Earls, 66, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Heritage Center. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Melvin Pauley on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 2pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. Billy was born on August 27, 1958 in Huntington, W.Va. to the late Harman and Betty Lou Cremeans. He was a cab driver. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the parents who raised him, Charles and Libby Corns; his son, Kris Merritt; and five brothers, Mikey Lee, Wesley Earls, Raymond Cremeans, Charlie Corns, and Gar Corns. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy Merritt; four daughters, Kim (Michael) Tatum, Tara (Josh) Sayers, Natalie (Mikey) Day, and Sophie Bryant; three sons, Zach (Summer) Merritt, Mason Bryant, and Logan Bryant; nine grandchildren, Jakub (Emily), Jariekah, Izaiah (Christy), Kaleigh (Isaac), Emilee, Kaylin, Kaden, Korbyn, Ryan; five great grandchildren, Jaxson, Kynzlee, Karter, Leo, Amylah; four brothers, Jim, Jack, Mark, and Bill Corns; five sisters, Patty Jarrell, Lisa Stapleton, Dee (the late Sam) Corns, Mary Corns, and Robin Corns; two nephews, Brett (Paige) Koontz and Dylan Tackitt; niece, Hannah Tackitt; great nephew, Tobias Koontz; and a host of other very loved nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1 - 2 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
